There was a great turn out for our April Social! Many of our snowbirds have returned home. There were 25 Chapter H members and 15 guests from Chapters N and K making for a total of 40 people in attendance.
Wayne and Karen Baetsen were honored with plaques for their service as chapter officers for the many years in office. We couldn’t have kept the chapter going without all of their hard work and dedication!
Bernie handed out the last of the perfect attendance awards for 2018. She modeled her Goldwing shirt from Australia! Bruce and Bernie had vacationed and met Goldwing riders there. What a great story and adventure.
50/50 winners were: 1st place – Wayne Baetsen – Chapter H, 2nd place – Alice Kastello – Chapter N, and 3rd place – Tim Spitzer – Chapter N. Mike Netzer – Chapter H won the Mystery Box.
Wayne Baetsen was the lucky winner of the birthday money for the month.
Updates of items learned from the Operations Meeting were shared with the group. Information of upcoming Chapter and District events were shared.
An update on the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre was shared with the group. Since a photo of Bruce Gebhard was found on the victim, he was questioned several times as a suspect. The people that attended had a great time and said they would do it again
Everyone was encouraged to take copies of the pages that were copied from the Gold Book. The page offers potential members the opportunity to have a 4 month trial membership to try out GWRRA. It was suggested that you keep them in your motorcycle and in your car to handout. Suggestions were made to prefill out your member name and number so that you can get credit for recruiting a new member. Once you recruit 5 members, you can receive a $65 certificate to be used at the GWRRA store.
Our chapter hosted our 1st Indoor Mini-golf Chapter Challenge. Many of the guests that had attended the social also participated in the chapter challenge. There were additional guests that joined us at the mini-golf challenge. There were many golf balls which had to be retrieved from the water. Randy Kastello – Chapter N was the best golfer with the lowest score. Kathy Quinn – Chapter H was the golfer with the highest score, which earned her the Broken Putter award. Golfers and spectators all had fun!
